What Is an IBC Tank?
An IBC (intermediate bulk container) tank is a 1000 litre plastic container held in a steel cage on an integrated pallet base. It holds as much as five 200 litre drums, but it takes one forklift movement and less floor space, and it drains through a bottom valve.
Common Uses
- Water storage and rainwater harvesting
- Liquid fertiliser and agricultural inputs
- Detergents, oils and industrial liquids
- Food ingredients such as syrups (new, food-compatible tanks only)
- Chemical storage, where the tank suits the product
Why Choose IBC Tanks
- High capacity: 1000 litres in a 1200 × 1000 mm footprint.
- Easy handling: a built-in pallet base for forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Simple discharge: a 50 mm drain valve and a 150 mm top inlet.
- Stackable: the steel frame protects the tank in storage and transport.
New and Used IBC Tanks
We supply new IBC tanks and used, cleaned IBC tanks. Used tanks are a practical low-cost option for water and non-food liquids. Always confirm the previous contents are compatible with your intended use.
